Stories of Hope

“A patient of mine had been stuck out of the country throughout the pandemic and had just returned to the US. She came in for a physical and we detected an abnormal heart rhythm.

It was so amazing how God’s timing was at work. We just recently added a cardiologist to our volunteer staff. He had been planning to join us for two years, but had needed to put it on hold—until just this week.

But his first week schedule was already full! Providentially, we had a cancellation, allowing the doctor to see my patient, diagnose and treat her immediately. Our testing showed that she had already developed blood clots, but with treatment we expect her to be safe.
